چکیده
Wastewater containing heavy metal ions presents a formidable challenge to environmental sustainability because metals are nonbiodegradable and toxic. Cadmium has been identified by scientific consensus as one of the most perilous deleterious chemicals. These have significant effect on many illnesses in living organisms, including humans. Therefore, an effective absorption technique is required mitigate issues caused this waste. Adsorption frequently used remediate waste improve processing process its versatility suitability technology. The principal aim investigation was augment adsorptive potency cadmium (Cd) optimizing utilization natural Aceh bentonite. optimization utilizes Design Expert 13, specifically Box Behnken with Response Surface Methodology. results revealed significance bentonite mass (1-2 g), stirring time (30-200 minutes), initial Cd adsorbate concentration (100-500 mg/l) (II) ions. Optimal conditions for ion adsorption were achieved agitation 2 mass, 126.8 minutes time, 500 mg/l. Under these conditions, 220.5 mg/l, desirability outcome 0.84.

متن کاملOptimization of Acid Blue 113 Adsorption from Aqueous Solutions by Natural Bentonite Using Response Surface Model: Isotherm and Kinetic Study
Background & objectives: Dyes are one of the main environmental pollutants of textile industrial wastewater which are toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, and non-biodegradable. Therefore, in this study, Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was used to investigate the operational parameters and determine the optimum conditions for the removal of acid blue 113 in the presence of bentonite. Methods: The...
متن کاملOptimization of Continuous Flow Adsorption of Heavy Metal Ions on Continuous System Column by Peganum Harmala Seeds
Background & Aims of the Study: Heavy metals discharge to environment is a worldwide problem growing in scale. When they accumulate in the environment and in food chains, they can profoundly disrupt biological processes. Peganum Harmala Seeds (PHS) was used as a bio-sorbent, using a continuous system for removing Pb2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+ ions from aqueous solutions. ...
متن کاملAdsorption of heavy metal ions to floc-type biosorbents.
Adsorption of cadmium and lead ions to floc-type biosorbents was reported in this work. Two types of biosorbents containing a marine microalga, Heterosigma akashiwo (Hada) Hada, or a purple non-sulfur bacterium, Rhodobacter sphaeroides, were prepared. The micro-organisms inactivated by steam sterilization were immobilized in casein floc and cross-linked with glutaraldehyde. In the present immob...
متن کاملAdsorption Characteristics of Tannin for Heavy Metal Ions
Tannins gel was investigated as an adsorbent for heavy metal ions, such as lead, cadmium, copper, and others. The gel used in the present work was made by Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co. Ltd. (MNF). It was found that the gel showed high adsorption capacity of heavy metal ions and the adsorption isotherms were correlated well by the Langmuir equation. The maximum adsorption capacity was influenced b...
